Saranda
TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Saranda, the gateway to the Southern Albania, is a small town located between mountains and the Ionian Sea. The old city was called ONHEZMI which is called since as B.C, while the origin of the name of Saranda comes from an early Christian monastery "Santi Quaranta" (Forty Saints), it lies in the Pass of Gjashta near the town. Saranda built on the Ionian seashore, facing the Greek Island of Corfu. Saranda enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, which is gentle and characterized by optimal seawater temperature. The favorable geographical position and climate make Saranda one of the most appealing touristic destinations.
